Today I will read part 9 of My Father's Dragon. In the last part, my father met a gorilla and monkeys. He gave the monkeys glasses. What animal will he see now? Let's listen to the story.
Today we will learn 3 words. Splash. A splash is a noise of hitting water. Crocodile. A crocodile is a green animal in the water with a long mouth and many teeth. Bridge. A bridge is something to walk on to the other side of a river. Listen for the words in the story. Splash. Crocodile. Bridge.
Let's begin.
Part 9.
My Father Makes a Bridge
My father walked to the river. He looked for the dragon. He didn't see the dragon by the river. Was the dragon on the other side of the river? But my father couldn't go across the river. He couldn't swim in the water. The water was too quick. Then he heard a noise. The noise was a splash. It was a crocodile! The crocodile's tail splashed in the water. The crocodile said, "Do you want to swim? Come into the water! I'm hungry!" My father saw the crocodile's big mouth and many teeth. My father said, "I don't want to swim. Please don't eat me! Here, eat this." My father opened his backpack. He took out the candy. My father gave the candy to the crocodile. The crocodile said, "Candy is delicious!" Then my father heard many splashes. He saw more crocodiles splashing in the water. My father said, "I have more candy. If you make a bridge, I will give you the candy." The crocodiles swam into a line. It was a crocodile bridge. My father said, "Here is the candy!" He gave the candy to the crocodiles. My father stepped onto the nose of one crocodile. Then he walked on top of the crocodiles. He stepped onto the other side of the river.
That's the end of part 9. This story has 10 parts. I’m Katrina. My show comes out Tuesday and Friday morning New York time. Please like and subscribe. Thank you for listening. Goodbye until next time.
