The Lion and the Bug
A bug flies through the air. Then he feels tired. He wants to take a nap. He sees a nice place to take a nap. It looks soft. He goes to sit on the soft place. Then he sees hair. It is the hair of a lion! The lion uses his paw to push the bug away. The bug jumps up into the air. He is faster than the lion’s paw. The bug says, “I am faster than the lion’s paw! I will try to sit on the lion again.” The bug flies to the lion’s head. He sits on the lion’s head. Again, the lion’s paw comes at the bug. The bug jumps up. He is faster than the lion’s paw. The bug is having fun. He flies to the lion’s nose. He sits on the lion’s nose. The lion’s paw comes at the bug. But the lion is too slow. The bug is faster. The bug is happy to be faster than the lion. The lion is so big, and the bug is so small. The bug is not tired anymore. He is ready to go. So, he flies away. He says, “I am faster than the lion! I can fly anywhere! No one can catch me.” But then he stops. He can’t fly anymore. He can’t move. He can’t move because he is in a spider’s web! He sees the spider in front of him. The spider is smaller than the bug. But the small spider can catch the bug. The end.
In this story, the bug is happy because he is faster than the big lion. But then the small spider catches the bug. Sometimes, small things bring a big surprise.
