The Deer and the Fox
One day a big deer is in the forest. He is thirsty. He goes to the lake to drink water. The water is calm. He sees himself in the water. He sees his antlers on his head. He sees the trees. He says, “Oh! I see yellow leaves on the trees. It’s time to get my antlers ready.” He walks to the forest. He sees a big tree. He pushes his antlers on the tree. A fox walks in the forest. The fox sees the deer. He sees the deer rubbing his antlers on the tree. The fox says, “Deer why are you doing this?” The deer says, “Sometimes animals run at me. The animals try to push me. I use my antlers to stop them.” The fox looks to the right and he looks to the left. He does not see any other animals. The fox says, “Deer, it’s ok. Do not be scared. I do not see any other animals!” The deer says, “I get ready before I see other animals. I get ready so I have enough time.” The end.
In this story, the deer sees himself in the lake water. He sees himself and he says it’s time to get ready. So, before he sees other deer, he is ready to go.
