Two wolves play together. They are brothers. There is a younger brother wolf and an older brother wolf. The younger brother wolf runs in the field. The older brother wolf follows his brother. They run to the forest. It’s a beautiful day. The sun is out and the sunshine is bright. The younger brother wolf says, “Let’s run back to the field. I will get there first! I will get there before you.” The older brother wolf says, “No, I will get there first. Let’s go!” The wolves leave the forest. They run to the field. Then the younger brother wolf sees his brother in front of him. The older brother wolf gets to the field first. He is faster than the younger brother wolf. The older brother wolf says, “See? I am faster than you! I am older than you. I am bigger than you.” The older brother wolf is happy to be the first. He keeps running. He sees his shadow. His shadow follows him. He says, “My shadow is so big! I am so big.” He keeps running. He sees a rabbit. The rabbit is in front of him. His shadow is in front of him. His shadow is bigger than the rabbit. He says, “I am bigger than the rabbit!” He sees a cow in the field. The cow is in front of him. His shadow is bigger than the cow. He says, “I am so big. I am bigger than all of the animals in the field.” He says, “Cow, I am bigger than you, too!” The cow says, “Excuse me, would you please repeat that? I didn’t hear it. Come closer.” The older brother wolf goes closer to the cow. Then he sees the cow’s shadow. The cow’s shadow is so big! The wolf’s shadow is smaller than the cow’s shadow. He sees the cow. He is smaller than the cow. The cow says, “Did you say something?” The wolf says, “Oh, it was nothing!” He runs back to play with his brother. The end.
The wolf sees his shadow. He thinks he is so big. Then he goes closer to the cow. He sees the cow is big and he is small. Some things, like shadows, look different from what is real. So, we can look closer.
