Cinderella
Once upon a time, there was a girl named Cinderella. Her mother died when she was young. Then Cinderella’s father married a woman with two daughters. All day every day, the stepmother and stepsisters made Cinderella cook and clean. Then one day, they heard the news: the King would hold a festival for his son, the Prince, to meet his future princess. When the stepmother heard the news, she told Cinderella to quickly help her stepsisters get ready. Cinderella asked her stepmother, “can I also attend the festival?” her stepmother replied, “Oh dear, you can’t go. Your clothes are dirty, you don’t have a dress to wear.” Cinderella’s family left for the festival, and Cinderella was alone. Cinderella made a wish that some how she could go to the festival too. Suddenly, a fairy appeared. The fairy used magic to give Cinderella a beautiful dress and a carriage to go to the festival. When Cinderella arrived at the festival, she stopped outside the door. She asked the person beside her, “Is this the way to the dance?” He said “Yes, it is. Should we go together?” Then she realized he was the Prince. They danced together for one song, and they kept dancing. No one recognized Cinderella. They thought she was a princess. But Cinderella couldn’t stay at the festival. She ran away before the Prince could find out who she was. The Prince tried to find her, but Cinderella was gone. The next day, Cinderella again made her wish, and the fairy gave her a beautiful dress and carriage. And she danced with the Prince for every dance. But she couldn’t stay. at the end of the night, she ran away. The last day of the festival, Cinderella made her last wish: “This is my last chance to dance with the Prince. I need one more dress.” The fairy gave her the most beautiful dress. She danced with the Prince late into the night. And she ran away before the last song. The Prince was afraid he would never see her again. Suddenly, the Prince found Cinderella's slipper. She had lost it when she ran away. The Prince announced “to find my princess, I will ask every young lady to try on this slipper.” The next day, the Prince arrived at Cinderella’s house. Cinderella’s stepsisters tried on the slipper. The older sister’s foot was too big. The younger sister’s foot was too small. The Prince asked Cinderella’s father, “do you have another daughter?” He replied “I have one more daughter. But it’s impossible! She didn’t attend the festival.” Cinderella’s father called her into the room. Everyone watched in surprise. As Cinderella tried the slipper. The slipper fit perfectly. Finally, Cinderella moved to the Castle and she became a Princess. The end.
